Description

This Bharatiya Nirdeshak Dravya (BND) i.e. certified Reference Material (CRM) of coal powder is intended for use as a calibration standard in evaluating analytical methods, instruments performance for coal parameter analysis. This BND or CRM can also be used for quality control in the routine analysis of coal. One bottle of BND contains about 30g of the powdered coal material packaged in a sealed borosilicate glass bottle.

The property values of powdered coal for its Ash, Volatile Matter (VM), Gross Calorific Value (GCV) & Sulphur (S) have been certified by CSIR-NPL by means of an Inter Laboratory Comparison (ILC) exercise, as given in the table below. The assigned property values were established according to ISO Guide 35:2006 guidelines.
